• Friday 30 September 2022 Car Wash 2022 This week our Year 11 Ambassadors did a charity staff car wash to raise money for their charity the Air Ambulance, they raised over £200! Well done
• Thursday 29 September 2022 Year 7 Ready for the Future Day Sept 2022 Year 7 students have enjoyed a trip to Bradgate Park today, we do hope they don't get too wet!
• Thursday 29 September 2022 Year 9 Ready for the Future Day Sept 2022 Thank you to 8billion ideas worked with our Year 9 students to gain understanding of the world or work, especially environmental products & designs. Everyone really enjoyed it.
• Thursday 29 September 2022 Year 10 and 11 Ready for the Future Day Sept 2022 Year 10 & 11 students took part in our Careers Fair to meet further education providers; companies to gain understanding of future pathways, it was lovely to see so many smiling faces today!
• Thursday 29 September 2022 Year 10 Ready for the Future Day Sept 2022 Year 10 students took part in the Tyres workshop to help them develop teamwork, communication and enterprise skills.
• Thursday 29 September 2022 Year 11 Ready for the Future Day Sept 2022 Year 11 students continued to complete their PS16 applications, personal statements and research, this will help when applying for colleges and further education after their GCSEs.
• Thursday 29 September 2022 Year 8 Ready for the Future Day Sept 2022 Year 8 students have been working with an interior design company Blueprint to gain understanding of interior design, creating working spaces.
• Friday 23 September 2022 Year 7 Football Our first Year 7 fixture yesterday at New College they managed to win 2, draw 2 & lost 1, finishing 2nd overall. A fantastic team effort and they were exemplary from start to finish in terms of how they conducted themselves.
• Wednesday 14 September 2022 Queen Elizabeth II During a time of mourning and remembrance, we have come together as a school and created a display, each form group has wrote a message on what the Queen means to them.
• Thursday 25 August 2022 GCSE Results Day 2022 What a fantastic morning we have had seeing our Year 11 cohort again, brilliant results outcomes!
• Wednesday 22 June 2022 Reading Rampage 2022 Our Reading Rampage challenge ended today with a celebration of all the participants across the city!
• Tuesday 10 May 2022 Lord Lieutenant Awards Winner Last night, Year 11 student Simeon won the Young Braveheart Award at the Lord Lieutenants Young Person of the Year awards for overcoming personal challenges & supporting the LGBT community at Lancaster.
• Friday 6 May 2022 READY for the Future Day Year 10 Workshops Yesterday we had another READY day which aimed to broaden our students’ horizons and expose them to a variety of occupations and industries. We had 18 volunteers deliver interactive and informative workshops.
• Friday 6 May 2022 READY for the Future Day Year 11 NCS Visit Yesterday during our READY Day, Year 11 explored how to budget their money supported by the National Citizen Service (NCS).
• Friday 6 May 2022 READY for the Future Day Year 9 Virtual Work Experience Thursday 5 May 2022 Lancaster Academy gave all the Year 9 students the opportunity to work on their virtual work experience, collaborating their ideas with 8billionideas providing solutions to better our evolving economy and communities.
• Friday 6 May 2022 READY for the Future Day Year 8 Trip to Blueprint Yesterday we took 15 Year 8 students who are involved in the development of a new LRC space at Lancaster to visit the professional offices of Blueprint Interiors in Ashby. Chairman Rob Day introduced the students to his team who were able to take time out of their day to give them a taster of the jobs they do within the business. The activities of the day, focussed around how a company like Blueprint make themselves READY, introduced students to the working life of the business and how the beautifully designed space functions as a working environment.
• Thursday 5 May 2022 READY for the Future Day @ Bradgate Park An excellent day was had by all Year 7 students at Bradgate Park today, the weather was beautiful, we got to see lots of different groups of deer, Old John was open and we were able to go inside and have a tour of the building.
• Thursday 5 May 2022 READY for the Future Day Year 8 Trips As part of our 4 ‘READY for the future day’ 2021-22, Year 8 students all participated in trips to a wide range of venues to learn about different careers.
• Friday 25 March 2022 Mother's Day Cards All this week students have been invited to write to Mrs Fisher about how brilliant their mum is, out of all the letters Mrs Fisher chose 12 to receive a card and some flowers to take home their mum.
• Tuesday 22 March 2022 County Lines Assembly Huge thank you to Leicestershire Police for organising and for Alter Ego Creative Solutions for coming in today and showing our students what is involved in County Lines
• Tuesday 8 March 2022 READY for the Future Day! Year 7 students were developing their character and skills including creativity, resilience and concentration which included making the tallest paper tower.
