A Warm Welcome at Lancaster Academy's Open Evening

On Wednesday 16 September, Lancaster Academy opened its doors to families from across our community for our annual Open Evening. It was wonderful to see so many people join us. The school was full of conversation, curiosity and a real sense of welcome from start to finish.

For many of our visitors, the evening was their first chance to meet our new Principal, Alicia McElhill spoke to families about her hopes for the academy and the ambition we hold for every learner. Many parents stayed afterwards to talk with her in person, and it was a pleasure to see those first connections being made.

Visitors toured classrooms and specialist areas and saw lessons and activities led by our staff. Our learners were outstanding ambassadors throughout. They guided families around the building, answered questions with confidence and showed our visitors what makes Lancaster such a special place to learn.

We would like to thank everyone who came along. Our thanks also go to the staff and learners who gave their time to make the evening such a success.
